medicine

there are a few things in this world that are medicine to my worry.

number one is a fast-paced, well-crafted, thrilling young adult fantasy or science fiction. [i'm not sure what else is on the list, actually, but it might include long walks on the beach.]

since i’ve been eating worry three meals a day the past week or so—it was time to do something. i combed my parents’ bookshelves in the basement, found the hunger games, and effectively submerged all my worry for nearly 36 hours.

short review: the book rocked.
longer review: i am leaving right now for my local bookstore to buy catching fire.

moving and checklists and mail-forwarding be hanged!

Can’t believe you haven’t devoured these already. I’m biting my nails waiting for #3 to hit the shelves.

  • Yes! Life may be worrisome, but at least you don’t have to fight for your life against impossible odds on live television.

I haven’t read these yet for the sole reason that I don’t want to be left hanging until #3 comes out. When its out I’m sure I will be up into the wee hours of the morning until I finish them!

I’m glad you liked it. Those books lifted me out of my troubles for a weekend. Even Brad liked them.

I thought “The Help” was a fast, enjoyable read too. Not engrossing like science fiction, but… Happy. And I could use a little happy.

What? I’ve actually started a series before you? LOVED these books. Even more than Twilight saga. I’m patiently (ya right!) waiting for book #3 which comes out in August. Say hi to Peeta for me :)
