reasons to love the unlovable february

  1. snow. the kind of snow that’s big and fluffy and actually makes it warmer and you can play in it and shovel it and sweep it and watch the maintenance crew drive around their little tractor with a giant brush thingy.
  2. the duggars had another baby.
  3. american idol. is there anything more fun than working through your taxes, collecting all those 1099s and 1098s and stuff, while you’re listening to people make their dreams come true?
  4. henry learned to play the kazoo and the harmonica. hours of fun for all involved. trust me.
  5. girl scout cookie ice cream!

my list is sort of ragged. feel free to add to it—-find everyone’s mojo.

  • maybe I will feature the talents of our primary children one Sunday for singing time and henry can favor us with a tune on one of his many instruments.

and I’m glad you like the giant brush thingy, too. I have tried unsuccessfully several times to explain that piece of machinery to my dad. Fascinating. which of the GS ice creams is your favorite? I may need to get some next week when Jeff is out of town…to share with myself.

I thought the Duggars baby was born in December. Anyway, I love that I get to stay inside all day and entertain a 3 year old with too much energy. (Sarcasm, anyone?)

As long as we are being optimistic…I love February because even though it is still winter (I don’t like winter much), at least the days are starting to get longer. I really don’t like the really short days in the dead of winter where no matter what I do, I have to spend every precious daylight hour stuck in a dreary lab. But now as I leave, it’s just starting to get dark, and I remember that the days are only getting longer…

  • I agree with Tiff-the sun does not set at 4pm anymore and that helps to relieve some of the winter depression.

February is fun because I love watching the girls get excited over making homemade valentine’s. So romantic.
