welcome to 2010.
i’m still expecting to see a hover car fly by my window. or be able to eat a pill for dinner–something willy wonka-esque that tastes like roast beef and blueberry pie at the same time without being disgusting.
as i hoped, i woke up to this january full of fury and determination to be and do all sorts of things. and this little blog (hello little blog) is near the top of the list. i’m going to get back to the reason i started writing this in the first place, all those years ago. to write. just to write. not to keep a journal (i do that somewhere else) or let grandparents know what kids are doing (violet can clap her hands and take five steps!) or, um, other stuff.
so, get excited. i’m planning on new types of posts: the list, the review, the writing prompt.
and in honor of all kinds of newness, i’m going to do something i rarely do, and might not do again for quite some time. pictures!
- peanut butter cookies.
- what the kitchen really looks like.
- what the kitchen really looks like II.
- filling the cookie containers.
- mmmm... cookies.
- cookies wrapped and ready.
- our target $14.99 special tree!
- frosting that tastes like hot chocolate.
- layer one, ready for fudge.
- whipped.
- just part of the mess.
- drooling.
- frosted.
- birthday boy!
ps - is not this new design lovely? (thanks, sar.) and thank you to all of your kind words about my little essay.
