at last. i can lick handrails in the airport. i can put my kids in the carts at sams club. i can stop rubbing my hands with hand sanitizer until they bleed. i can at last live like i used to before the entire world was going under from the dreaded and feared swine flu. as of 6:28 p.m. this evening i have been immunized. my husband has been immunized. (months ago — those lucky hospital guys.) my children have been immunized. (thanks to some sly moves by a renegade nurse.) so bring it on. nothing can kill us now but lightening or botulism or world war III.
if that’s not a happy Christmas feeling, then i don’t know what is.
in other news, you may have noticed it’s been a little quiet around here. honestly, i’m too frettered and exhausted from being an adult and figuring out life that i don’t have much time to write anymore. (tragedy!) my solution: i’m going to take a deep breath and go under. take a break. the blog will be silent for a little while. but i hope to resurface sometime around the beginning of the new year with some sort of renewed energy.
in the meantime, if you are some long lost best friend from junior high (although i’m not sure i had any friends in junior high) you should click on the little contact button and give me your address so i can send along my amazing, yet-to-be-written Christmas card. trust me, it’s not to be missed.
joy to the world!

Hi Jess, I wasn’t going to do a family Christmas letter this year, but you convinced me to. So thanks! Now can you email me your address so I can send it to you?
Please tell me that you did not use to lick handrails and that you will not do so again! Nasty! I am weird about flu shots H1N1 or otherwise. We don’t get them (except for Damon because they make him). So far, so good (knock on wood).
I have yet to do my Christmas Cards too. I think I’m going to send them for Valentines Day or maybe Easter. Hey, why not wait unti the baby is born and just send them out with birth announcements! That idea is sounding better and better.
Any decisions on Prosthodontics school yet? Keep me updated! But only if it doesn’t stress you out. As you may have noticed I haven’t updated our blog in many months. I kind of like it that way. Makes life mysterious (or just shows how lazy-I mean busy-I am!) Hope you enjoy the holidays stress free! Miss you!
we don’t need vaccinated because…we all got it. hmm, swine flu and having a new born. how did i get so lucky?
count your blessings.
i hope i am on you mailing list! do you have my new address?
