my baby brother is getting married on saturday.
in detroit.
this means that at the same time i’m trying to erase my image of my baby bro playing with a plastic sword and wearing a lampshade as a helmet, i’m also trying to make my house spic n span for all the out of towners that are going to begin fluttering in tomorrow. so i have a mental checklist long enough to climb to the top of babel and then some — which means, of course, i’m doing the only logical thing. i’m searching through itunes to find suitable stuff to pump in my ears while i clean the bathroom and the floors and the walls and pretty much everything, all while folding and washing enough laundry to clothe all of the student population in ann arbor. (translation = i’m stalling, big time.)

Yeah, I’m a little iPod addicted.
I’m also an NPR girl. I always give my vote to This American Life! But maybe you’ve listened to all of those. If so, you could try The Story with Dick Gordon, that’s from my local NPR station WUNC. Some of them are better than others, but if you hit one that doesn’t interest you, just skip it! Good Luck!

Justin is getting married! Oh my! And in Detroit?!? Good luck with cleaning….you should pick some kid friendly toons!
Jessie! You have internet again! Actually, I’m guessing you’ve had it for a while now. But I’m just barely getting back on it feels like, so I’m catching up on your blog. As for podcasts, I know Rich has like the “classic tales” podcast. I don’t have an ipod though, so I have no idea how to get that.
By the way, I wanted to tell you about the interesting affect of that blogpost you wrote for me. My family was so disappointed that Joshua hadn’t actually been pretending to be a zombie that they’ve taught him how and now he really does go around saying “zooombeee.” Be careful what you write!
