i just sobbed through the end of this book into my breakfast cereal.
i’m afraid to say anything: i know i can’t write words that will equal the book thief in pure beauty.
but, i will say this, i am still aching for these characters. i have in my mind a picture of dachau, dusty, from when i visited several years ago. and zusak has added such astonishing color, such beauty, to the rows of barracks and hollowed out lives. he has made the darkest despair sing. he has given lungs to hope.
bravo.

Maybe I’ll check this one out at my library. Hey…do you still do your on-line book club? If so, are you looking for new members?
I cried too
Just finished reading this one. wow. There are no words. except maybe that Zusak is my hero. Glad you loved it as well.
