    cleveland, adieu - 10

i’m thinking about food today. i’m thinking about food a lot. (mostly i’m thinking about ice cream.) i imagine all this rumination is because i’m trying to, not diet exactly, but make better food decisions. unfortunately, better food decisions rarely include ice cream, depending on how you define “better.” so, in lieu of darting the fridge and eating a pound of butter where no one can see me, i’m going to make a list of all my favorite places to eat in cleveland. but first, i have to say, that this list is going to embarrass me a little bit. mostly because it’s sort of disturbing to think of all that eating out. in my defense, when i’m pregnant i’m lucky i can eat anything at all. and the “anything” usually comes in styrofoam boxes and a plastic bag.

    • the stone oven - i could live and die in one bite of your smoked turkey sandwich.
    • aladdins - i’m smiling just thinking about your tasty hummos.
    • anatolia cafe - the adana with yogurt changed my life.
    • corky and lenny’s - oh! corned beef!
    • tommy’s - i don’t know what’s vegan about a hamburger and milkshake, but they sure are tasty…
    • bo loong - you’re so tasty and greasy and delicious.
    • siam cafe - at last! vietnamese!
    • mi pueblo - it’s mexican. sort of. with that bland midwestern flair. mmmm, tasty…
    • the mint cafe - thai. glorious thai.
    • mitchell’s - your raspberry sauce and pecans have a little cubbyhole in my heart.

i’m sure we barely scratched the surface of tasty cleveland eating. if you’re in the mood, check out this and this.

Mmmmm…Aladdin’s! I miss all the yummy places to eat we discovered in Cleveland. You don’t have to be embarrassed, my list would be really long too. And now that we’re not there I wish I had enjoyed them even more!

    • Hey Jesse, Thanks for your help today. I checked out Smarthinking.com, and I think that it will be a great opportunity if they accept me someday. I’m adding you to my bloglist. I hope that’s alright.

    • Love the Masaman Curry at the Mint Cafe! Still haven’t made it to Aladins, but really want to before we leave. We eat out way too much too. When the weekend comes around I get lazy and out of ideas on what to cook so that’s when Damon “cooks”!
