i’m a political party nightmare. i’m the sort of person who, thanks to my brilliant training in the humanities, can talk myself in and out and back into just about any issue over and over and over. at any given moment i may be a republican or a democrat, a libertarian or a political agnostic (these exist, apparently).
but the nomination for sarah palin has kicked me out of my political stupor.
i know two things for sure:
1.) this woman has unique (insane?) taste when it comes to naming children.
for some reason i never really cared that chelsea clinton was getting the short stick when it came to parental invovlvement, but there’s something about five kids who are so young, motherless…
i hope to hear at some point that mr. palin has decided to be a stay-at-home dad…

Yes. But how do you feel about her politically?
and why can’t I delete comments on this thing?!
I do believe her husband has quit his job to stay with the kids. I don’t know much about her kid’s names, but maybe they came from protagonists in a novel.
thank you, i was not surpised at hearing she was raised in utah considering her kid’s names. trig??? as in trigger? who knows? i am like you though.
i remember i said that in one of my english classes to the professor: “it is impossible to be a 100% employee and a 100% mom.” he wasn’t too happy about that, probably because his wife is a professor also : )
i meant idaho as her home state. woops.
I am afraid to say anything about what I think about Sarah Palin because like Jessie, I change my mind politically nearly ever day. Maybe every hour…
he is a SAHD, actually. and QUITE a redneck…
I also don’t get where she got her kids’ names…but I’m a traditionalist (hence, Jacob). As for her being a working mom…wow, what a job and I’m glad to hear the dad is at home (not the same, but better than a Nanny). As for where I stand politically…hmmmm (I normally do what Brad does - sad, eh? Oh well, as long as I vote, right?!)
