just wanted to say, bravo for the first spin of our book club, the book trail. you’ll find our choice for this month in the sidebar. each month we’ll have a very special guest host choosing our book and leading the discussion.
i hope you’re planning on reading with us again. invite your friends. invite your mom. invite anyone you can think of. talking about books makes us better people.
and, because so many people seem to ask, i’m going to post a picture of the little munchkin himself. he doesn’t make much of an appearance here at squeezetheuniverse. [he's often busy with other important engagements.]
and, what with the campaign for ‘08 well on its way and politicians all over the country blabbing about this and that i just want to weigh in with my two cents on global warming. [i can tell that henry also has strong feelings on this subject.]
now i’m sure that people in california and other coastal type states that stand to be absolutely inundated by the demise of the polar ice caps (oh no! not the ice caps!) might not agree with me, but i am a big fan of global warming. bring it on. i’m tired of subzero temperatures for eight months of the year. i’m tired of snow snow snow with no glimpse of sun. i’m tired of shoveling the hill of death out of my apartment parking lot. i’m tired of getting $450 gas bills. i’m tired of trying to think of inside activities for the little munchkin: said activities always seem to include crushing goldfish crackers into the carpet.
so keep driving your gas hogging cars. keep using those aerosol cans. keep shunning hybrid vehicles. everyone up here in cleveland could use a little warmth.
[for those of you looking for an endless inside activity, try out freerice.com -- i've only been able to get to vocab level 41, but joe has trumped me with a 42!
go ahead. try it. see how smart you are.]

I love Henry’s choice of shoes…Robeez type shoes are pretty much all Jacob wears, they’re much easier to walk/run in. I’m all for global warming too..I hate being cold!
to update, i finally hit level 45. hah!
In a half hour of misspent time, I got a 45. Yay!
Then they throw your words like dolichocephalic. (Meaning long-headed, I think.)
is it really misspent if you’re giving rice to the undernourished?
